On our way home from California, we stopped in Vegas to spend some time with my sister Maren and her husband Jeff. It was hotter than hot, but we still had fun! We took the kids to a park near their house that is set up in a Western style. It is very cute. The water feature wasn't working which was a big bummer, but the kids had fun climbing the ropes, riding in the stage coach, and finding any shade to stay cool.
We spent a day at the pool staying cool and having fun and then of course we visited the strip. Eric and I were really impressed how clean the strip was. You don't have the annoying slappers trying to hand you strip club cards anymore. It was of course super crowded, but the kids enjoyed seeing the lights and big hotels. We visited the M&M factory and Cocoa Cola factory and the ABC store to find fun souvenirs.
It was a great time visiting with Maren and Jeff and having the kids meet their aunt and uncle. Marisol and Omar can't wait to see them again, they loved their time in Vegas!
