We get to see these sweet faces in 2 weeks! Yes, we are spending Christmas in Mexico again. I am trying to get excited about it. This will be our third Christmas in Mexico. The weather is nice, we are with our kids, but we truly thought this year we would be all home together to celebrate. I even went and put up the big tree this year. The last two years we didn't even have a tree at home because we knew we weren't going to be around to enjoy it.
See we were under the impression that our sentencing was going to go through around Thanksgiving time. So I planned and prepped for a sub for 3 weeks, we packed our big suitcase with clothes for 2 weeks and headed to Vegas for Thanksgiving hoping to also receive the call to continue to Mexico for the last time. But no, total rejection. We sadly headed home Sunday 11/29 with broken hearts and angry minds. We patiently waited for news the following week.
We receive news, not he news we wanted mind you. We were told that the judge hasn't even completed our file. Then she said we were missing papers (come to find out we weren't) so we spent Thursday night at Kinkos printing documents and mailing them Friday morning and Saturday morning sending more (just in case). If something doesn't happen this coming week (which we are not planning on) we get stuck in the Mexican Government 4 week holiday break. So no kids this year. Here's to next Christmas being at home (finally)!

I'm so sorry that things aren't working out like you'd planned. But I'm so glad that you get to spend Christmas with your kids. Love you guys!
Love you guys so much! Travel safe, if you need a key to our house for a place to crash (either on the way in/out) let us know! We're heading to UT, but don't know exactly when...so maybe our paths will cross. You're always the first people we think of when the topic of adoption comes up. Yours will be a 'happy ever after' soon! Enjoy your holidays
Thanks for the news. Sad it hasn't been what we hoped. However, happy you will be spending Christmas with those Dear Children of yours. They were having so much fun playing the game with Eric in the movie. Look forward -:) Time will pass quickly and ALL of you will be
heading for the USA together shortly--(time passes so quickly).
