Congratulations Graduates of 2009

Last Friday was a wonderful day!  Eric graduated with his Masters in Communicative Disorders Speech Language Pathology.  My mom, dad and little sister (and two nieces) came up from Syracuse.  Eric's mom, dad and older sister came as well!
Eric's mom and I went up early to procure spots along the sidewalk where the graduates wold march by on their way to the Spectrum to get pictures.  Eric was right near the front so we got some great photos of him marching along with his hood in arm and a big grin on his face!

The March of the Professors and Graduates.                                               Eric hood in hand.

We then went into the Spectrum to get seats as close to the stage as we could.  We watch the graduates march in and take their seats.

Luckily Eric was seated on the front row where we could easily spot him out.  He sat by his buddy and only other guy in the program Kellan and I ended up being two rows behind Kellan's wife and family, so we got some good photos of the two of them as well.

My parents                                Eric's parents              The Graduate!
The ceremony was quick and right to the point.  They started with the posting the colors (flag) and a student from USU sang the National Anthem beautifully!  Then the hooding of the graduates and receiving diplomas was underway.  After the Master students were presented, the Doctoral students were next.  It was a neat experience to see this awesome display of respect towards higher education students take place.

After the ceremony, each college had their our celebration in their respective buildings.  We went with our families to the Lilly White Building where Eric spent many hours a day in classes or with clients.  We took lots of pictures with professors, fellow students, the food ect.  After our fill of cake and punch, we headed out to celebrate more at our house!
I had prepared a potato bar for the family.  Eric's parents picked up Gramma Dutson and we gathered around the table to talk, eat and laugh in honor of Eric.  It was a great day!

Congratulations My Love, I am so proud of you!  I Love You Whole Bunches and Whole Bunches!
